Well today was the Knitter’s Frolic. And Wow did I Frolic! There was a ton of wool but I was there strictly for spinning stuff. I can get wool anytime…and now spin my own!
My friend Kathleen and her delightful daughter Mara joined me as we Frolicked our little butts around the festival. I saw may old friends and made a few new ones. Pirkko, Rochelle and Laura were all there as well as blogless Terry (who made Lillith’s bag).

Oh and there is the little matter of the Majacraft Gem that I somehow ended up buying.

The purpose of having a traveling wheel is …well…to travel with it.
I like to take my wheel to guild meetings and S’n’B’s, and up to this date I’d been wrapping her in garbage bags. Which was quite a hit to both of our dignities.

I’ve had a very stressful couple of weeks since we got back from Nova Scotia – both personally and professionally. I won’t go into details because I want to respect the privacy of those involved, but it’s been very difficult. I had my first wheel spinning class last night at Lettuce Knit. Laura from CosmicPluto was the teacher, and as always, was wonderfully patient with me as I fumbled my way through the evening. I learned a few things. I am pretty much spastic for about an hour while learning new things. After that it gets a bit better All wheels are not equal.
