It was the first Toronto Blue Jays Stitch ‘n Pitch last night. I heard that between 550 and 700 tickets were sold – Woo Hoo.

I am an avid Blue Jays fan but I must admit that I had a hard time knitting and watching and talking and taking pictures at the same time, so there aren’t all that many here. Also my camera isn’t good enough to get pictures of the players. I did settle for a particularly good shot of the Jumbotron when they flashed Alex Rios up there…sigh….

The start of the evening – doesn’t it look like they’re holding knitting needles?

The boys of summer:

My favourite player. I have shoes older than him, but a gal can dream…

Our beloved Sam Pollock passed away.

My good friend Kathleen and I experimented with Kinearing each other.

Finally we gave up and let Carol take our picture….where did all those chins come from? Sheesh!

Gisele with the ever entertaining camera (inside joke)

Pirkko taking a picture of me taking a picture of her (another inside joke)

I have no freakin’ idea what these chilies are doing. I looked up from frogging my knitting to see them running around. For a minute I thought I was having a flashback….

And now the kniterati and hookers:

Tribute to Stephanie

We got a goodie bag too with patterns and yarn inside – much horse trading happened during and after the game. I don’t think anyone went home disappointed. The fact that Toronto won was icing on the cake!

Thank you Toronto Blue Jays and TNNA – a good time was had by all

  1. I LOVE ALEX RIOS too!!!!! He is so hot and I love the latino music when he goes up to bat. Looks like you gals had a great time! Wish I was there!

  2. I had fun, too. Except the three men beside me were talking baseball talk, loudly, but other than that, I had a ball….of yarn.
