Knitting World Cup Day 1

Like my friend Pirkko, I promise not to do a stitch by stitch recap, but I thought I’d post a day 1 progress report.

I was going to do it in the Nova Cotton Tie Dye, but I didn’t like the drape of the swatch for this particular project, so instead I dug into my stash and am working with Mary Maxim’s Starlette. I think there might be some issues with piling down the road, but I couldn’t justify buying yet more yarn when I have enough for 3 full sweaters sitting in my stash. So, I’m using it – for once trying to be economical!

This is a very easy pattern, but I’ll admit not a well written one. I prefer it to tell me what the stitches are, not just “reverse shaping”. OK, so I’m lazy, but make it easy for me!
