Tour de Fleece – First weekend progress

Well the first weekend of the race was quite productive. I have no idea who’s in the lead because, well, to be honest I couldn’t care less about the actual race.

I finished plying 2 bobbins of the silk merino and spun up two more that are now resting. I’ll ply those tomorrow or Tuesday.
This is 160 yards of fingering weight.

Today I worked on the Polwarth a bit but wasn’t feeling well because of the heat wave/smog alert we’re under. It’s supposed to be in the 40’s with the humidex – that’s over 110F.

Progress will slow because I’m back to work on Monday so will likely not update until next weekend. Try to stay cool – and in my case, I’ll just try to stay alive.

  1. It’s lovely. I’ve been knitting along with the World Cup. Had to frog two inches when I detoured for BBC’S Robin Hood and paid too much attention to that and not enough to the lace. πŸ™‚ Spun along with the icelandinspires.com concert. Should have called it stashaholicinspireskeziahtogetoffherlazybuttandplowthroughherownstash but that didn’t have music πŸ˜€

  2. I like your style, the fact that your site is a little bit different makes it so interesting, I get fed up of seeing same-old-same-old all of the time. I’ve just stumbled this page for you πŸ˜€
