When Drew came to visit us in the spring, he had the nicest camera I’d ever seen. I had just bought my Kodak Z760 and was feeling pretty smug (an upgrade from 2 megapixels to 6.1 seemed a giant leap)…then I saw his – 8 megapixels! Wowee! And a zoom on steroids too!

Well I tried to make my camera do the job, but lately I just wasn’t happy with it. The pictures were dark and blurry and it just wasn’t working for me. So I went back to Henry’s today and took advantage of their trade-in policy. If you buy a camera and want to upgrade within a year, they’ll give you 1/2 of what you paid for it.

I am now the proud owner of an Olympus SP-350, and the difference is amazing. Now for a blog, I don’t really need 8 megapixels, but this camera also does some fancy things that will make life easier down the road if I ever end up publishing any of my designs.

Just to show how much better it is, compare the pictures in the last post with previous pictures. I still don’t know what half of the doodads and thingies do on the camera, but one thing is for sure – I think I’m in love.
