Mixed Feelings

My good friend Drew asked me to work up a sample for his upcoming book. I promised that I wouldn’t blog too much anything about the details of the project it, but he has told me that I can show you the stitch pattern. I finished the project yesterday and will be mailing it off tomorrow.

The yarn is Moda Dea Washable Wool and to be honest I have to give it mixed reviews. It’s a cabled yarn and wonderful to work with. My huge complaint is that every skein (note EVERY not SOME) had at least one factory knot in it.

At almost $10 a ball I expect better. I could forgive the occasional ball, but EVERY ONE had one. We’re talking 15 balls of yarn people. What are the odds?

I’m still recovering from a cold and today my tummy is very upset – I’m afraid I’m getting the flu on top of it. Ugh.

Plus they’ve recalled the magic medicine I was taking for my tendinitis because some people who were taking high dosages had liver problems. No one had problems at the dosage I was taking, but because of these twits somewhere in Australia, they’ve had to pull the drug. It’s the only thing that has given me relief from constant pain and numbness that I’ve had for the last 15 years. I am beyond upset. I have 20 pills left and I’m taking every one of them. I have to see how many presents I can get done before I run out. Tomorrow I’m going to the dr. so we’ll see if she can give me something else.
