Words can not express how much I love this shawl. Madly. Deeply. Maybe more than chocolate.

This is the first “real” laceweight piece I’ve knit. I’ve done shawls with lace in them (such as Icarus – also by Miriam) but never a whole piece. This one had 18 charts which I will admit had me a little freaked out. But row by row I worked through it. I learned that if I was having troubles with a row that it’s a good idea to tink three because chances are I made a mistake on the last knit row.

The combination of the beautiful pattern and the stunning yarn is a match made in heaven. The old saying…”you had me at hello” translated to me to be “you had me with the cast on”

Details:

Pattern:   Nefertiti by Miriam Felton
Yarn:       Tanis Laceweight, Garnet colourway
Needle:    3.5mm

I’m thinking that I may use it as part of my super-knitter costume – would you recognize this masked knitter?

What’s my super-knitter name?

The Enabler (of course!)

And today “The Enabler” is back with a vengence…poor knitters in a mode of indecisiveness don’t stand a chance!

  2. Well done Sherri! Its absolutely stunning – too bad I missed the up close and personal time with it on Sunday!

  3. I love it too! so much that I am thinking of adding it to my queue. I also got a skein of the garnet saturday in fingering weight. I don’t know what it will be yet, but it’s such a lovely colour!

I think i fixed the blogger issue (changed it so anyone can comment now)

  4. Every body acknowledges that men’s life is expensive, but some people need money for different things and not every one earns big sums money. So to receive quick mortgage loans or just auto loan would be a proper solution.
