Keep on booga’ing
I enjoyed Booga #1 so much that I thought it would make a great present for someone on my list. (Not to mention it’s super fast).
So off I went to Mary Maxim at Yonge & Eglinton (in the old Lewiscraft space) and bought more Noro Kuryeon while it’s on sale (which ends today). I bought about the brightest colourway I could find for this particular person because it’s a running joke now that she gets something pink each year. You see, I’m allergic to pink, so only for this person would I make something in pink! Of course Clancy had to approve the purchase. I don’t think pink is her colour either, but she sure liked the bee!
I also bought a neat-o gizmo for doing the icord. I really really really hate icords. In fact, I firmly believe they are called icords because you have to be an idiot to enjoy knitting them. No offence to the self identifying idiots that might be reading this blog.
I bought it because it was cute (sucker) then I started using it and fell in love. Each post has a slit in it which is perfect for sticking the pointy stick in and pulling over the loop. My other corker (that’s what we called them when I was growing up) is just a nail, so it’s more effort to use it. I finished a 6 foot icord in around an hour. Not bad!
