I can almost taste it

Despite the fact that Mother Nature had a hissy fit last night and dropped a messy load of snow on us, spring is just three weeks away. I can’t even begin to tell you how glad I’ll be to kiss my boots and put them to sleep for an 8 month nap.

I haven’t completely let go of winter yet. I had promised a co-worker a pair of gloves last fall. It took some time, but they were finally completed and sent off to Chicago (who has had an ever WORSE winter than we have had).

I’ve been re-energized by spindle spinning. This bit of alpaca was entered in a draw in the Spindlers group on Ravelry. Through the luck of the draw, I won the contest. That means I get to name the May theme. I’ve sent it in, and will let you know my plans for that one.

Fibre: 100% alpaca
Spindle: Forrester Orchard

In the meantime, I’m participating in the March challenge (I can’t get enough of this apparently). The theme is Welcome to the Madhouse and this is my inspiration

So far so good. I am a bit further than this and have almost an ounce of fibre on the spindle. Once I hit that magic number, it’s on to the second half.

Today I’m working on WIPs. I spent most of the last month knitting for co-workers so now it’s time for me πŸ™‚

  1. I love that yarn in the green…You are really quick with making it, you should make yourself something with it… You are always making for others and it is time you made something really pretty for yourself again…

  2. Beautiful work Sherri! I too am looking forward to spring, especially since it’s my first out here in the west. Ready to shed the coats, boots and longjohns! Take care
