Happiness Abounds in the Stashaholic Household

Alert the media (or at the very least fellow Stashaholics)…….and lock up my MasterCard! Mary Maxim has opened a store at Yonge & Eglinton. They’ve taken over where Lewiscraft was and today was their first day.

Of course I had to be there to welcome them to the neighbourhood. It helps that I have some friends working there – I had a sneak peak of what was coming! I have to say, I’m quite impressed with what they’ve stocked so far – they even have Noro! There is  quite a bit of variety on the shelves, even some new yarns I’d never heard of. More stock is arriving every day, so you know I’ll be back there soon.

I fell in love with the Caron Simply Soft Shadows, Sirdar Country Style DK, and Kool Cotton. I restrained myself admirably (I’m in between paydays, so really it wasn’t all that hard). I came home with a few patterns for which I already purchased the yarn. I also found a new crochet cable leaflet.

Anything in the catalogue can be ordered into the store. And the best part is that they’re honouring their 10% Guild discounts!

  1. It’s evil!!! I was there today and I walked out with more sock yarn *sigh* But, yes, I was impressed with the Noro too but stopped myself from getting any!

  3. Hmm, I hope you’re up for a visitor one of these days. I’ll have to come and visit the new store. Wouldn’t it be really cool if they opened a MM at every former Lewiscraft???
