Fiberlicious

I spent the weekend immersed in fibre (so what else new…). This time I had a drop spindle class from Lorraine Smith who write Spinner’s Quarterly. Despite their recent flood, The Purple Purl hosted the class and as always it was an amazing class. Lorraine is a wonderful teacher who patiently answered all of our questions (and made us feel better for constantly dropping the spindle).

I had intended to photoblog the class but I got so involved in the actual spinning that I only managed to take two photos!

I also started my next Christmas present. The person who this is intended for will know instantly that it is for her if she happens to be reading this blog post, so that person had better act surprised at Christmas if she sees this ahead of time

Yarn = Cottage Craft Angora (rabbit)
Needle size = 4.5mm
Pattern = Mead Scarf

I’m off now to spend the day with my friend Terry for some more knitting and spindling.
