The disaster
The graveyard by my apartment on Halloween – how cool.
I love my friends. Online and in person. We arranged a trip to Amherst to meet up with some folks that I’d been in a group with for years. What fun!
AC Moore,
Walmart,
Joanns, and most especially
IHOP! I had always wanted to go to an IHOP (blame Rainman) so the merry gang agreed that it was something that needed to be done. What followed was something from Dukes of Hazzard (including stopping at a Dunkin’ Donuts drive through and asking for directions to IHOP. When we told The Voice that we loved him, he told us he loved us too!

Get it?
I did
Me, Gisele, Pirko, Chris and Marisa – happy shoppers (who made Chris hold
all the bags?)
Once back on our side of the border, we realized we should eat before the
long (ok it’s only an hour) drive home. Where else to cap off a perfect day? The Flying Saucer on Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls.
For saucer fries – my favourite food in college
And apparently still high on the list!
I love the fact that the Abominable Snowflake is no longer in my
apartment. And that it brought a tear to Miko’s eyes (could have been the
fumes from the plastic sheep). I love that they trusted me to complete this
massive piece of extreme crocheting in a tight timeline. I love that my
hands held out long enough to do so!
I love my new Goldings. If that little election hadn’t happened last night, I would have voted for Tom Golding for President. Anyone who can make some wood and some metal spin like these spindles do can certainly fix the problems south of the boarder.
Antiqued Rosette .6 oz
Cherry Sweetheart .45 oz
And most of all I love the fact that in two days I’m off for a mini vacation to St. Catharines to spend time with my best friend in the whole wide world. You may remember her from escapades such as “wrestling tin lizards and finding hairy cows“.
Be good while I’m gone and think of all the things you love – I’m sure your list is just as long as mine!
Does this mean we can skip the saucer fries while you’re here? Remember when it was a one saucer restaurant?
And the post you linked back to brings one to a memory of how we met. How cool is that? 😀
I LOVE that you have a picture of me eating, Sherri – you know, almost nobody else can claim that!
xoxox

Sounds (and looks) like you had a fun time!
I love my Golding, too.
