Have You Seen My Self Control?

Apparently it has left the building.

As if my little trip to the KW fair wasn’t enough, I seem to have caused a little incident at the Purl on Sunday. I have only now recovered enough to talk about it.

In my defense, I was only trying to get a better look at what was at the bottom of the Malabrigo Silky sale bin. I tipped it over on an empty chair and what followed next is a bit of a blur. It was like shark feeding time at the zoo. Women diving in, yarn flying through the air, and I swear I heard someone say that they would sell their soul for a certain colour (it might have been me, but I’m suffering from yarnesia due to the yarnalanche).

Somehow when I came up for air, three skeins of each of these lovelies were in a death-grip in my hands. I have no idea what I’m going to make, but they look like they belong together so I had to give them a good home. (self sacrificing aren’t I?)

I have also been busy on my Spinning a Sweater project.

I’ll be doing a lot of this on Sunday’s at the Purl (at least while the
weather holds – I don’t take my wheel out in cruddy weather). I’ll need
all the support I can get, so if you see me spinning away with a glassy
stare, just feed me more caffeine.
