They Came, They Saw, They Shopped

A whole bunch of wacky women got together to go to the Patons Tent Sale. Pirkko has captured the logistics of the day (including some interesting detours), so I won’t go into that.

I was very restrained (well for me anyway) because I’m moving at the end of the month. I’m also having a stash clearance sale on Saturday, so even I saw that it didn’t make sense to buy too much when I was trying to clear out the locker so I can even see inside of it. I’m sure Jimmy Hoffa is in there somewhere…

I’ve got so much thread to sell on Saturday that it’s not funny. I don’t know where half of it came from. I think it multiplies when I’m not looking. I filled a suitcase plus a garbage bag for the sale. And that’s just the start. No wonder I don’t have any money in my RRSP.

I did buy some yarn for charity purposes, so those in Heartmade Blessings can expect a lot of yellow and pink squares from me in the future

I also found a new yarn that Patons is carrying. It’s a lovely DK called Marble. You can see it here (I bought MT3 if you’re interested). Somehow my pea brain decided that six 100g balls was enough to make a sweater. Really, what the heck was I thinking? I wasn’t…I was in sensory overload. I’ve called Patons and asked them to put aside the requisite 4 more balls. They won’t ship until the sale is over, which is fine because I can’t face any more yarn until I move. I did pick up some lime green Bumblebee cotton. I only bought it because Terrific Tony (Violet’s husband) said it made me look younger. Really…what a sucker I am. Patons should have him on commission.

So, here’s the pic of the gals. You can’t see from the picture, but the back of the SUV was jammed with garbage bags full of yarn. Good to know I’m not the only Stashaholic out there
