I know where my Noro Sock Yarn is!
I had 5 hours to kill while getting allergy tests on Friday so I was able to finished the Blue Jeans Shawl from Knottie by Nature. I’ve made this shawl about 4 times now and it takes me around 5 days (working at night) to complete it.
I put a crab stitch edging on it to finish it off. I also cut the yarn at the end of each row when I got to the smaller parts because I wanted to keep the striping correct.
Even more happy news is that the snow mountains on my front lawn are slowly melting.

its beautiful.
Okay, you’ve totally got me on this shawl. How many on the Noro Sock did you end up using?
I’m in love – it was even more gorgeous in person when i saw it on Tuesday!
I’m glad you like it – I’m rather fond of it myself – it’s the perfect antidote to the winter hangover I feel these days….
I used about 1 1/2 balls of Noro. I didn’t really have to use that much but I was picky about the striping at the end, plus I edged it with two rows of sc and a crab stitch. The original didn’t have any edgings but I think it finishes it nicely.
Feel free to come by the Purple Purl any time after tomorrow afternoon and you can fondle it in person!
I saw tulip leaves poking up through my garden! I never thought it would happen this year, I swear.
Now the front-yard snow pile just needs to leave and we’ll be good.
Happy spring!
