Airing of the Stash
A simple quest for a second skein of yarn turned into a yarnalanche all over my bed tonight. Rubbermaid totes containing fibre, yarn, 1/2 finished sweaters, WIPs cast on during periods of startitis, and the “what the hell was I making?” projects tossed willy-nilly in a mad hunt for a second skein of yarn.
I was too embarrassed to take photos. Truly. 9 totes + 4 comforter-sized bags. That is a Lot Of Yarn. Even for a Stashaholic.
The good news is that there are now 2 garbage bags of acrylic from a former life (I have absolutely no memory of buying any of it – how does yarnesia happen anyway?). Enough sage green for an entire afghan, white for about 1/2 of one, odds and sodds of blues…all going to a new home this weekend at the stash sale at Toronto Hookups.
Oh, where was the second skein?
In the drawer beside my desk. Where I put it so that I wouldn’t forget where I put it.

to funny. I call those little loss-0-memory moments, brain-farts.
Ooooh.. guess I’m bringing more money on Sat than I originally intended… I want that sage green! 😀
Break your piggy bank m’dear
Oh and bring a forklift…lol
Oh My, I just came across this blog while looking for a good scrap pattern, and I feel so at home! I am up to 8 totes and a few sacks myself, and am ecstatic that my 16-yr-old daughter recently took a tote-full to work on a project of her own!
I’ll be back to read more, and thank you for writing!
P.S. I firmly believe E-Bay has had quite a bit to do with my yarnesia! =)
