I’m sick ‘n tired. Sick of being sick and tired of not having enough money or time to work on everything I want to.

</pms induced rant>

Last weekend was the CSNF, and along with a doosy of a cold, I was able to sneak in a few therapeutic purchases:

Lovely Fleece Artist Goldilocks  – this is actually the same ball, just very different colours at each end. I’m knitting the Triangle shawl with it.

My old swift was replaced by a shiny new one. This one has 6 arms for the yarn. My old one had 4. Not a big deal, but I wanted to help out my friend Kathleen in reaching part of her heart’s  desire to own a swift (the ball winder is next), so I sacrificed myself and bought a new one, reselling her my old one. Now doesn’t everyone need friends like that?

I couldn’t resist the shiny Dune yarn from Trendsetter. I spent way too much money at the booth from Village Yarns and the Needle Emporium. But this yarn just cries out to be knitted into a bias scarf on big needles. Where in the world I think I’m going to wear it is beyond me – plus why would I ever buy a yarn that needs DRY CLEANING! Oh well, I’ll likely never get around to knitting it, so as my mom would have said, why go borrowing trouble. I’ll just pet it as I walk by.

I also bought the coolest sheep statues ever. They are on my desk at work as they stand slightly less of a chance of being broken by the cleaner’s than they do by Clancy. Pictures when I remember to take my camera to work.

All in all, it was an ok show, but to be honest, if I didn’t get in for free as part of the guild booth, I’m not sure I would attend anymore. I am extremely disappointed in the direction it seems to be taking – more and more quilting and scrapbooking and less and less yarn. It’s good if you do those other crafts, but bad if you don’t.
