Kingston recap
Well, as usual the weekend of Wine Women and Wool was wonderful. And as usual I can't admit to half of what we did.
But I can share some pictures!
Jake the Dog met me at the door with much happiness, tail wagging and wiggling. I haven't had so many kisses in years!
Dinner Friday night was wonderful - Beef Stroganoff (yes I know it's on rice - Janette makes it that way and it was just as good!)
The quilt class was amazing. If you ever have a chance to take Suzanne Atkinson's class - run and sign up. She has some beautiful work (see below) for samples of her quilt squares and what you can do with them. She did the top two in wool and felted them. Can't you just see a bunch of them as a rug? They're the perfect size for trivets, although I wouldn't want to get food on them.
As if that wasn't enough, she's taken the Elizabeth Zimmerman Surprise Jacket (both baby and adult) and kicked it up a notch!
Here is the baby version - check out that twisted i-cord!
Here's what I got done during the class. You can see that eventually it would work up to an Ohio Star
Myself, Janette and Peggy very full and happy after a Chinese buffet - you had to roll us home.

I blew the Knit from Your Stash pledge big time. But I knew ahead of time I would (as I will at the Knitter's Frolic). I bought a Jo Sharp book, an Elsebeth Lavold book and an Interweave Crochet magazine.

I also bought the yarn to make this
And then there is sock yarn...you can never have enough of that.
All in all, a wonderful time. Can't wait for next time!

I love that green sweater!
Glad you had a good time. I'm living through other knitters vicariously, and I needed a nice weekend. Thanks.

LOVE the green sweater - and the quilting is very neat - when I read the last post I wasn't too sure what it was!
