My first usable handspun :-)
I'm so proud! Here is my first usable drop spindle handspun. It's made from a bag of 100% wool (breed unknown) that I got at Lettuce Knit. It's called Froot Loops and I love it...so much so that I called and reserved another bag
We used it for the wheel class, but I think I prefer it on the drop spindle. Because it's pin drafted it's very quick to use. I just split the roving in half, give a gentle tug and away I go. I think I'm getting better at not overspinning....well there were a few spots, but on the hole, much better.
Each single measured around an ounce, but I don't know the yardage. I'm going to knit it up into a booga bag. I'm doing the bottom in a plyed yarn, but I think I'll do the sides in single.

Congratulations! It's pretty darn good for an early effort!
