I'm done!
I finished the afghan for my brother's wedding this weekend. I'm guessing that the number of stitches (before border) is approximately 47,872. Remind me never again to do a single crochet ripple.
But it sure is pretty!
The pattern is from Leisure Arts Afghans for All Seasons - Book Two. Time to complete was around 2 months (got distracted by some new projects along the way).

That really is gorgeous, Sherri. I love how the arches are separated with chains and THE BORDER! WOW! I know how much work you put into it. I'm sure it will be treasured for many years.

I always have more than one project on the go Ramona, so it's hard to say. I bought the kit from Mary Maxim Feb 13, but I don't think I started on it until early March (there was a delay in the order). I'd guestimate that it took about 200 hours in total (10 min/row x 4 rows per inch x 64 inches) + edging...no, I'm not a Virgo at all am I? LOL But when it's the same stitch for 64" you have to think of some way to amuse yourself and beating my time for previous rows became an Olympic event!
